looking for tunes that sound like this...

hi.

i've decided to take a higher step in my musical/dj/mixing/whatever-else-you-want-to-call-it abilities, and will make a cd full of chilled out, laid back tracks (trip hop + dubs and slow breaks)..

(hence previously asking about some easy listening aphex twin- thanks inge, that track is awesome!)

im asking if anybody can contribute to my track listing that would be great.. all i need is some track names and artists who produce jazzy slow (90-100bpm) breaks..

if you're not sure what i mean by jazzy slow breaks, HERE is an example...

thanks!!

Cool

p.s. yeah that remix is mine, pretty quick job but that kind of down tempo jazzy bigbeat sound is what i want..

I shall suggest the following, might not all be what you're looking for, some can't be considered breaks in any way, but I consider them cool and deadly and well worth their place on a chilled album Wink

Singles:
Saint Etienne - Only love can break your heart (Andrew Weatherall remix)
Leama - requiem for a dream (leama's ambient mix)
Solid Sessions - Janeiro (Chiller twist blue line remix)
Way out West - Stealth (Rennie Pilgrem & Commie remix)
Miro - By your side (Ian Wilkie Dub OR mix)

Albums:
Ralph Myerz and the Jack Herren band - A special album [especially "Here is love","Nikita","Casino","Think twice",... ah heck, just get the album, it's worth it Wink ]

From the album "Timo Maas - Loud":
-Hask Driven
-O.C.B.
-Caravan (feat. Finley Quaye)
-Bad Days

If you absolutely must have jazzy tunes, then Ralph Myerz is your best bet from my list, but I'd recommend to check through at least the Saint etienne remix also, and the Miro remixes (though the Miro remixes might be a bit fast, as is the case with the Timo Maas tunes). I'm guessing you already have the album St. Germain - Tourist, if you made the remix on So flute Wink

If you want/need I can post short samples of each tune

You might consider jumping into the symphomatic orchestra. They make nu-jazz, and although most of the beats are non-linear, it really gives you very warm and atmospheric jazz-like tracks.

Check this one out then: Aphex Twin - Logon-fock witch_ (let's hope I read that correctly Wink). It's taken from the Richard D. James Album, and was made in a period between his ambient and grindcrushingbeatprogramming era. It's track 10 from the album (just in case I read the name incorrect, since't it's hardly decodable Confused )

soulseek had all the ralph myerz tracks but i couldnt downlaod them because i was in queue..

but.. any chance you can put those 5 singles (st etienne, etc..) on server somewhere, and i'll grab them ASAP??

inge: i can't find anything by symphomatic orchestra
