Incase we all forget, save often..

If you have a "real" instrument that can be tuned, then do so before every session, and maybe a couple of times during it.

Don't be afraid to do things you don't normally do, music is art so be an artist or something.

Aight! The list is up to date again. I'll try to put it online tonight in html, so everyone can browse through them and make comments.

And keep those tips coming! The more, the merrier, the happier, the less Prozac needed, undsoweiter, etc. You know the drill.

I think you mean a 'real' instrument, and not the tuning function inside MadTracker? I assume that Yannick didn't make MadTracker *that* realistic that instruments fall out of tune after using them too often Razz

oh yea, a real one hehe.

If your writing a song and realize your not wereing any pants, go put some on. if 15 min. latter you realize again your not wereing any pants, fear. FEAR! DAMn you, *sob* Crying or Very sad

wow, ok maybe dont put that one lol.

There are many, many places to volumize your samples. It is best to stick to one of them and use the others as needed.

The best thing about working with Madtracker is, you can play with yourself all day and your parents could still be proud of you.

You are guaranteed to spend more time looking for, and listing too, samples, then you are in actuall time in writing a song. Well at first anyways.

It is better to get up and goto the bathroom then it is to soil yourself waiting for parts you just edited to get played. (I know I've had many close calls, haven't crossed that line yet, maybe when I'm 80 or 90, then by that time I won't care)

I'm a little tea cup short and stout, here is my handle, here is my spout, tip me over sideways and pour me out, blah blah blah ahh **** it. This is going nowhere.

hmm.. maybe I shouldn't try to put the "Mad" in Madtracker.

On the prerelease its a little hard to read some of the Italisized words (however thats spelt). But cool none the less.

okay...

Idea if possible try to add live instrumental loops. it adds a lot of body to the song - even if it is just an 8 bar melody.

There's a newline missing in front of "Name your samples...".

I never saw "Don't join the loudness race..." here in the forum tips nor in the MadTracker tip window, while I saw all of the others up to the RC5 release several times. Coincidence or a bug?

Shift-Tab after creating a new track to go straight to that track. Idea

This one doesn't seem to work now in the new versions.

Place your mouse cursor above the number behind [BPM] to get the exact BPM value. This is essential to synchronize your ReWire host with MadTracker, or to use exported songs in mixing programs for exact beatsynchronizing.

When you run the song the same will happen, and when I use Tracktion as the rewire host it will set the wright BPM automatically.
