i was wondering about MT3...
are you planning to put -db indicators on the side of the VU meters in the mixer panel, because i think it would be quite neat and handy

yeah but what about relative db differences between channels, not so easy?

Well, when making music you really should only trust your ears, so in that sense I don't quite see the use of a dB indicator. And in that case, 0dB really is the only one you need to worry about.
On the other hand if you're making something that requires you to set one channel exactly -6dB lower than another for instance, then I could see the use. In broadcasting here in Finland for instance, it is a de facto standard of the public channels to set the music of a program -6dB from the speech.
I can see pro's and con's both ways, in the end I guess it wouldn't hurt to have a dB indicator. |
