|
Well, here is the deal:
I i am using madtracker now and then, when i want some inspiration (even thoug i use Reason, i like madtracker the most for making the melodies). And i often shar my projects with family and friends. Also i enter compos now and then with songs ive made.
I'm no registered user (will register as soon as i get any money for the music i make in MT, wich will be in .. well..a long time .. back to topic)
As i said: I'm no registered user, and i enter compos now and then. and alost every time i enter i get a question, if i have a player that plays .mt2 files, so i direct them to www.madtracker.org, and THE tracker.
I would really like to direct them to the plugin that plays .mt2 for Winamp, instead of explaining them what and where to download, but the quality of the plugin is so.. i would say shitty, but outdated.
So here is my questin really:
Can you be so kind and please upgrade the mt2 plugin for Winamp with some more effects than just the reverb?
<spam> pls pls pls pls pls pls pls pls? </spam>
kthxbye |

hmm, 40 bucks or euro or whatever you pay with these days... the point is, how much is it really? it's not more than 4 hours of work
I hope the coding time isn't spent on a upgraded mt2 plugin but rather on the actuall program right now.
my 2 cents |

Exactly. With vst support the plugin is kind of useless now anyways, your friends won't have these vst's anyway so...
I thought the winamp plugin worked fine btw? |
what is hip?

It's not really the problem that is have to register to get mp3, but its rather that in some competitions you have to deliver the file format in a tracked module (I.E .mt2) and some users wont bother to download the program in favor of hearing one song that lasts like 3 mins.
Instead it's much easier to download the plugin for winamp, so it can play them.
(Remember now that in contests you arent allowed to use vsti's, cause not everybody have them).
And because the plugin is so outdated, i suggest you just put in the lines of codes that the plugin require.
Walter: i suggest you read my topic: "UPGRADE the .mt2 plugin for winamp" |
