Apparently this just got released today and I just downloaded the demo..All I can say is WOW, holly Sh##$t (my first post here and not sure if I can say the s word:)).

There is an annoying beep on the demo but it made my crapy speakers sound like a million dollars. Listen to the demos through a good set of cans and youll know what I mean, It's also cheap, well compared with PSP warmer, the only other plug I think is similar. Here is the link to their site

(From the link mentioned above)
"SPECTRALIVE™ is "the" definitive secret weapon for attaining that professional "commercial" sound."

Do I really want the "commercial" sound?

It indeed sounds nice.

There is an easy way to get the beep off even in the demo :
(guess how !)

That's what mastering is all about...

I wasn't that impressed by the demo mp3's (some even did sound worse than the original files imo) but I guess they overdid the process just to make a clear picture of what the app is capable of. thanks for the link tho, will check it out when I find the time.

I love these types of plugins. BBE sonic maximizer, Dynasone, Izotope: they're essential for radioproducers like me. My voice is far from impressive, but some BBE sonic maximizer, wavehammer and L2 maximizing does miracles to it Rolling Eyes

No, just apply the FX on a silent sample, invert the result and mix it with the boosted sample that containing the beeps (In fact, I found that trick out 3 years ago while writing a screenplay about a mad scientist that invented a "silence machine" using that principle for the Talibans!)

@TNK: nice method. Never thought of that Smile

About the plugin: wah. Heard better onces. Definately prefer BBE sonic maximizer. Now *that* plugin does miracles. Like TOffe said: Spectralive overdoes it. I'm not producing the new YMCA, am I?

Ok, I just puchased it, they have reduced the price to $24.95 I think that's a great deal IMHO and the demo is updated with a less irritating noise.

Odd. Yesterday, the price was still 63 euro. 25 euro is already very acceptable, making it possible for everyone to have an exciter. Having such a device is crucial for mastering tracks, imho.

Nevertheless, one should decide for themselves which exciter sounds best. It's very dependent of which 'commercial' sound one prefers.

For how long will the price last as low ? This sounds definitely interesting !!!

Sure, but what are the (affordable) alternatives ?
