Right, some hopefully constructive feedback. First off, I'm very happy you stayed away from the typical trance strings Smile You've got a pretty interesting melody going also.

However, on a more techical note you have a very cluttered midrange IMO (500Hz~3kHz). I blame a lot of that on your excessive use of reverb. There are too many instruments that have a too distinct reverb.

The whistle sound that runs every now and then (@5:02 for instance) is a bit cheesy IMO. I'd cut back on the usage of that if I were you. It's not needed that often.

But the track had some potential, especially liked the melody, and the layering of submelodies.

Hello Maxus_pl,

Welcome aboard! Indeed an interesting song with somewhat unconventional melodies.

1: Sunbuster is right: the middle region is drowning in vagueness. Try to open up your song and keep things transparent.

2: The drums are somewhat vague. The bassdrum sounds too synthetic. Try using a deeper and lower bassdrum with a distinct sound. The hihats also sound like they have a very low resolution (22 khz?).

Good luck working on the track, and keep us informed.

Inge

wicked stuff man. but indeed, there's seven oceans of midrange going on. the bassdrum isn't that bad i think, i fits the style. the open hihat however really sucks. don't feel like writing much more, gonna watch some tv. keep it up, the song is pretty cool, it's just a bit messy. clean it up and you'll have an excellent song.

what is hip?
