I haven't been writing very long, but this is what I have done with Madtracker (great software):

http://www.soundclick.com/bands/5/moondustsninjaforumexercisesmusic.htm

i would put the MT2 file up but it's another 2 megs, not on this modem. Smile

the top 3 on the list are written in MT2, the bottom two were written many years ago on an amiga Smile

I like the top-most one. Kinda reminds me of Ape Escape Smile
I'll have to get the rest tomorrow.

Ape Escape was (And still is) a PlayStation game made by Sony. I'd occasionally stop playing and just sit and listen to the tunes Smile

edit
Your second tune is cool too, but the top one is still my fave.
I'm downloading the third at the moment Smile Can't wait

Cheers for the comments. I don't think anyone else has listened Smile

I'm still working on the top one (the west bay one), i've discovered since uploading it that the levels are all screwed up (not surprising as i only have headphones to listen to it on when composing), so am going to be spending today sorting out the levels in the mixdown...

Thanks very much mate...

Just finished uploading a re-mastered version of the top tune (the west bay mix). Spent a while trying to get the levels all right without taking too much away from the drums. Think i've got it now Smile

ok, downloaded, listened...

Must admit it's not exactly my cup of tea, but it's not impossible that it would grow on me. Anyway, the production sounds good. I'd perhaps want a tiny bit more volume on the hihats, but that's all I can come up with (at this point at least). Smile

Thanks for the comments Smile

I agree, the hihats have been worrying me for a while actually.

So what *is* your cup of tea then? Have you got any tunes of your own up anywhere that i can listen to?

check the music section, or my site Wink Must warn you though that those are pretty old by now, but a couple of new ones should end up in the music section shortly (and a remix of QBicals 'the lake' is bound to end up on my site within a couple of days too) Smile

But what mostly is my cup of tea is chilled trance / house / progressive stuff. In the trance area most stuff that doesn't have those typical over the top trance strings. Then there's DnB, atmospheric I enjoy most there. Chillout stuff like on the cafe del mar compilations... the list is long. Smile

But like I said about your tune, it could grow on me, and it already has. I listened to it again this morning, and already I found something new I liked about it (which are the mellow pads you've got playing there). I think what mostly makes this tune a turnoff for me (if you can call it a turnoff) is the basskick pattern. I'm sure a lot of people enjoy this kind of pattern, but to me it just doesn't do it Neutral

Oh yeah, forgot to say, the production is only good because I followed what you said and exported most tracks into CEP2 and started mucking about with it in there Smile

Another thing, for anyone else reading, I forgot about the soundclick thing of needing to be registered to download the MP3 (although you don't have to be to stream it), just login with these details:

Login name: listener87@hotmail.com
Password: techno2

It still seems to be a bit of a dark art, though Smile

Still, I guess practice and more practice will solve that one.

Cheers

Ben

(oh, and i'll listen to some of your tunes shortly, how many i listen to will depend on whether you cater well for people on a 56k modem or not Smile
