[2.5.0 final] helpfile bug (and some old ones)

Helpfile crashes, running with or without MadTracker. It happens when when im trying to go after links from "introduction" page and then trying to go backwards. For example, im going from "introduction" to "effects" page via "Image embedding (for covers and logo pictures)" link, and than clicking backwards. Crash.

I have 2.5 final with replaced mt2.exe Yannick posted on board.

On irc i wrote Yannick about MIDI out and the memory error on start. Still exist.
And my old bug with messed up icons in a browser. Still exist.

About the problem with the help, can you try to open the help file standalone? I mean by using the shortcut titled "MadTracker Help" in your Windows programs menu.

For the MIDI problem, can you give me your sound/MIDI card details? If you have DXDiag, you can save these information in a file.

And for the icon issue, I still don't have any idea. I'd need to sit next to you and check what's wrong. Wink

what details you mean? I have SB live! Player 1024 and standard Win XP drivers

(MIDI Out - there's no memory available to do this task. Shut down one or more aplications to increase available memory and try again) - sorry, still quick and poor translation
this message is shown twice.

OK. So the problem with the help file is not because of MadTracker.

I will check twice the MIDI initialization code to make sure there is no memory leak or anything.

I get this at startup.

I think it is because I don't use midi at this time.

I can't change this:

Midi is always checked when I start the program and cannot be changed for good.

Yes, MIDI is now activated by default. It is more convenient, unless you get MIDI error messages of course.

I have no issue with it being set at default, but it would be nice that the configuration would change if it is unchecked.
Would it be that difficult to remember the setting at the last close of the program?
