How do you make computer-speech (that is: speech that sounds like it's a computer talking - not speech trying to sound like a human) like in for example: http://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=7138 ?
any pointers on programs, effects, ...? |

thanx, nice program.
But it looks to me like it's another one of those speech programs that tries to sound like real voices, and not like a computer. (machine, robot, ...)
Or maybe i misunderstood. Do you use this program first and then apply some effects to it, to make it sound computerish? If so, could you give me some pointers to how you do that?
[edit]I hope you guys know what i mean with "sound like a computer" . If not, try to check the link i gave with the example.[/edit] |

Haven't seen the demo (won't do it tonight either anyway), but I bet the effect you're searching for are "vocoder" .. Search for that on Google and you'll get a lots of hits.
With a vocoder you'll control a sound source with another sound source. Meaning that you can for example make a synth chord sound like it's speaking to you.

Thanx, i think you are right!
I just downloaded analogx's vocoder, and it looks like it can do trippy things. Thank you! |
