Printing Paterns!

Idea Wouldn't it be cool to be able to make a print out of your patern or song? (or selection) Smile

I'm sure I would use it.
And besides that,

if a smart system is figuered out on this, you could see your entire track in one schot, (64 tracks or less lined up together in one schot)

I wonder what you guys think about this one,

maby it could be combined with this little thing : lilypond

it's a script language that converts code to realy nice formatted scores in PDF format, and it's opensource!

Ooh, that would be like totally cool Cool Seriously, a function inside MT that would export to sheet music using LilyPond (or some other program) would be a good feature to add. Would help collaborations with musicians who are not used to trackers but know how to read sheet music.

Well there's always the option to export to midi and use one of the midi-to-sheet music programs out there.

yeah but they suck and lilipond is better, futhermore I have a choice in school, or to write the scores by hand, or use lilypond for the scores, it seems that finale or other score software uses wrong fonts and stuff, I have no idea but that's what the teachers want.

To export a madtracker pattern to an lilypond made pdf file would be great, since there are ( afaik ) no midi to lilipond programs, this would be great!

Converting to sheet music would be awsome Smile, but I hope we can also have print outs of the track as we see it in madtracker.

And ofc if posible, print outs of automation, samples, and instrument graphs

Planning to redo the wallpapering of your room? Or is it something like predicting the future out of tea leaves, but then with automation patterns?

"Ah, this logarithmic curve indicates that an old lover might show up again, whereas this eq-setting - in combination with the volume sliders of track 25 and 26 - clearly show that you might get a job offer next month"

Or, in other words: wtf?

When you work with musicians it's sometimes nice to have some sheets with the score for them, and since a tracker is for some a fav. composition tool it would be realy nice!

Well Forget the automation then, but I realy would like prints out of paterns, with notes, volume - panning - effect collums.
We just need a way to make it small, so many tracks fit on a page, otherwise it would be useless.

It's all about overview!

One can always make such a program. The MT2 file specifications are available. It shouldn't be that hard to make. Wink

If it is that easy, wouldn't it be easier for the Madtracker Author to incorporate in the program.
I think it would be a nice feature to the program to print out the patterns.
I for one am a total idiot as far as programming is concerned.
