I just bought a shiny new iMac and would absolutely love to keep using Madtracker on it. I know, I know..I could just dualboot it with windows. But, man...I don't want to put windows on it! It's a mac!

Please Please Please port MT to run on Macintosh??????

Please??

I guess you can nowadays.
Now when mac uses intel processors, you can choose to boot in windows from your mac OR run windows in a window Razz

For booting you'll need Apple's application bootcamp.
Can't remember the name for running windows "in" mac osx though.. guess you could find it at www.versiontracker.com

Parallels.

Nevertheless, kMotiv wants a native version, which makes perfect sense, especially with the transition to x86-hardware.

Yeah of course that would be cool! I'm a mac fan myself, even though I can't afford one Razz But it would be cool to use MadTracker when I'm in the cabin, on mum's PowerBook! Smile

I suppose I could install xp on it. But..I really don't want to open up the system to all of the trouble that xp brings. This thing cost a pretty penny, and I just don't want to make it vulnerable in any way.

+ macintosh computers are the MULTIMEDIA STANDARD. Madtracker is a kick a music production suite. Porting MT to macs..just...makes...sense. Almost like the two were born to work together. Set it free! Set it free! Very Happy

mactards? oh come on man...

I would hate to think of myself as someone like that. I'm a fan of the macintosh system simply because it works better for me. If that's retarded, than I'm sorry.
