I'm a sucker for demotunes like this. I just cant get enough. My winamp is streaming kohina, slay radio, and nectarine all day and night long.

actually i agree this should not have gotten 52nd this sounds really good. Sure it might not have made great use of vsts but this still sounds pretty good? Haven't checked the MT yet but i still think it should've gotten a bit higher than 52nd.

Thanks guys...i'm really surprised for this bad result. Two or three judges aren't enough to review a song.

Well, considering the size of this community you won't get that many judges in the compos unfortunately, also keeping in mind that the judge should say more than just "this is cool" or "this sux". I stick by my review Wink

The judges did a fantastic job. Too bad personal taste prevents them from giving top marks to every tune! Smile

I didn't said that the judges have done a bad work,SoulEye(thanks for your mini review,i like your entry too,i'll rate it)!Absolutely!
I only said that my tune isn't so good for some people,it's a normal and right thing! Wink But Sunbuster, considering the size of this community a module could be reviewed by a big number of people so the average of an entry could be more "right";onestly i don't like the structure of the reviews:the first places have been reviewed by 4 judges, latest entries only by 2...why?All modules should have the same consideration! Shocked

But not everyone becomes a judge, you volunteer for that job and you preferably should have done some reviews in the past or been active in the community also (have some credibility in other words) before you get the spot. Every year afaik it's been a struggle for Yannick to get even those 4-5 judges even though he's asked for people in the forums, and every year there are 1 or 2 who in the end can't spend so much time on the reviewing due to personal reasons. If I remember correctly one year we had 7 or so judges, but even then the bottom entries had only 2 reviews sometimes.

On that note I agree totally, every track should have the same amount of reviews, which is why everytime I've been a judge I've reviewed every entry. This year I was joined by TNK, who also reviewed every track. However again, not every judge can/will put down that much time on the reviewing (it took me about 2 months to do all the reviews), which is why the structure has been to concentrate on the tracks that have a shot at getting a price. It's unfair, but this way at least who gets a prize can't be decided by the score of one judge alone.

But this is a good talk, constructive critisism is always welcome Smile

I prioritized my reviews, since I lacked time to do all. Samuele B: your track was one of those that I found not good enough to push it up on my priority list. I agreed on the existing reviews and didn't feel the need to add counter weight. So, even though you only see two reviews, there's one implicit on the background that agrees with them. Although this won't be that nice to hear (hearing that your music isn't appreciated is never a nice thing), I hope it helps you believe in the validity of the final ranking. I personally do.

Inge, there's Sunbuster (for example) that reviewed all the entries...surely we have different points of view regarding the priority list as you say...but since you lacked time to do all the reviews i can see your intentions! Wink hi
