Hi, I'm new, but catch on quick.

Hi all,

I wanted to introduce myself. I downloaded Madtracker 2 about a week ago. I used the tutorials abit, but caught on pretty quick that I found the tutorials explaining features I already knew, I played around a little bit with Fast Tracker about a decade ago, and didn't touch a sequencer since. I LOVE Madtracker, it is completely awesome, easy to use interface, and there is still so many things I don't know about , mainly the effects.

After a few days playing around with everything that I could click on in Madtracker, I created sounds and tweaks samples I found here and there. I created a song which I don't know the genre, its like Spacey, Electronica, Trance mix. Like a joyride listening song. I would appreciate any feedback, critizism that could be helpful.

I have registered, and can create .ogg or .wav files. I want to place the file on my webspace here, then let people listen to my song. I need to use an FTP program to do this right?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hello Elijah and Martin

Thanks for your help. I will install smartFTP later, when I arrive at home (at work now, but anxious lol). Once I upload my song, would it be good to post the link in this thread? Should I make a new topic in another area of the forums?
I want to get as much feedback as possible, and suggestions for improvement would be great.

Thanks a bunch.

Thank you for the nice welcome. Sure I will post it there. I went home at lunch to download the registration files, export as wave, encode to mp3 and sent it to my email account lol.

Oh Yea I know there is alot of music here, I listened to a few track, I really like Pulse Zone by Pyrozone I think it is. It came with the songs included with Madtracker 2. I tried to ftp it and it said that could not get permission to open file... I will try an older ftp program. WS-FTP LE.

Hi, I'm running into problems.

I connect to ftp.madtracker.net with my registration userid and password, copied the file.

Then when I try to write a url to it, it either doesn't do anything or it brings up a log in box, I try using my log in and it doesn't work.

I try uploading it to tigerk.madtracker.net and it seems to be the same place as when I log in to ftp.madtracker.net

Someone please help. Thanks

If you uploaded song.zip in the root directory, it'll be:

http://tigerk.madtracker.net/song.zip

So the file you uploaded can be reached there:

http://tigerk.madtracker.net/ToTheStars.mp3

(Please post it in a new topic in the Music talk though Wink)

I use FTP Commander (version 7.40, haven't tried any higher version), which I think works very fine.

And oh yeah, it's free!
