So, uh. I think it's been a while since I've posted music here. Oops. :D;;
First one is a remix of Kelly Clarkson's "Since U Been Gone" - inspired after hearing Jason Nevin's "remix" (he can't be serious, his take on it had the same melody and everything).
[Click here for Kelly!] It's a long mix, 8:59, and it has about a minute's intro. Sooo, be warned.
And then right over on the other side of the scale, completely different to what I usually do: Happily Ever Afterlife, a music box piece. [You can grab that one here.]
Ending post. Enjoy! |

Since you been gone is a cool remix!
Nice synths and melodies, very good.
The only one thing I had wished would be some more variation (like background melo´s or arp or whatever) for the hook (refrain) instead of just a change of the bassline, but that´s just a very little thing .
Happily ever afterlife is a cool production too.
Totally worth being chosen for a movie score .
Good work! |

Dude, your compositional skills are impressive. Where in Aussie land are you from? I'm in Sydney. I just requested you to be my myspace buddy.
Where do you get your samples? I've been wanting to do a house/electro track like this? Do you vst produce them?

I'm about 2 hours north of Brisbane. And yes, accepted your request. |D
I got a fair few of my drum samples from Dj[BB]'s Breakbeat Paradise, although I use VSTs on them to mess them up as well. |

Ah! Those strings were taken out of Oldbrian's winning entry Standing Still, from the last big compo. Aaaand.. I can't actually remember where I found the music box. I know that I googled it though. Xb |

Can you make a shorter radio-edit Lollie? that would be awsome! '(even better release the radio edit.) I'm sure you would have a Huge!!! hit here in Holland. Comercial radio in Holland is realy into the remixes these days.
(You then do need to fix the legal issue though, but it's defenatly worth a shot. )
Hmm saying this, I remember Andy has one remix laying around which also would be a huge comercial succes. Cary one guys!

liked both these tracks. the music box one for its simplicity and the kc one for its houseyness. |
