Is MT3 gonna be more controller friendly, will I be able to start and stop tracks with it ? That would be kind of cool if able to play only some tracks at the time, like 1-8 tracks rolling and by pressing another button on the controller having 9-16 tracks activated.

Let's get together.

(mini math here.
Mountain time=-7.
Yannick's time=+1.)

So, an 8 hour difference between you an me.
If it's 7 AM where I'm at, that makes it 3 PM for you.

So, when would be the best time for you? I can do the math.

Skype. Let's talk plans.

(To add to my experience: I have almost completed a semester of JavaScript. A great start, but I'm self-teaching myself C++.)

I know that MT3 is still in PreAlpha stage, but I'm already noticing a few bugs.

Where should I put the bugs?

Yannick, one quick question:

What's this?: https://www.madtracker.org/opensource/svn/

Also, take a look at this:

Delphi for Linux, it seems.....

Anyone know any good programming buddies?

Or willing to get into a (self-taught) c++ course?

well, i'm not pro, but I have done sometimes optimizing in assembler (up to Pentium IV still only) in Visual Studio, Delphi, etc. on windows 98 and win2000 platform (so it works on XP granted).

I just had a thought, Yannick.

Have 2 and 3 available for download.

Keep 2 for the sole purpose of ReWire.
Since you can't have ReWire in open source code.

Or preference Razz

*Speaking of OpenMPT, take a look at its source for pointers!

Well, guys, I got the local "include"s fixed.

I'll be re-fixing that Zip file soon.

I do have a few questions, Yannick, about what files we're using.

Still not sure what GDK version we're using.

Let's grab source from some OpenSource trackers (for guidance), put them into MT3, that should help out.

Up to you, Y.

OK, guys, when I graduate (in a couple months, so I'm not so busy with homework), I should be able to reverse-engineer the code, so I know exactly what's happening.

MT3 coming to life at the end of the world??? Very Happy

OK, I've decided to re-start the project, as I've gotten a bit of C++ knowledge.

Anyone know how to fix the "libxml/parser.h" thing? I can't compile 'til I get that fixed.

I've made it official: I'm going to attempt to beat HL3 at coming out for compiling MT3 for Linux.

By what I've gathered so far, it's gonna ride on Gnome libraries.
