Expirimental engine selectively "mutes" routed tra
Reply with quote

I have noticed that, when the experimental sound engine is enabled, certain tracks aren't playing audio when being routed. The mixer volume "bars" are acting as if sound is getting to them, but no sound is coming through. The Windows mixer is confirming this, too.
I have also noticed that when track effects are enabled, the effects themselves go through just fine, but not the original audio.

I have tested this on several versions of Windows, several different processors, and on Linux, too.

On a side note, I can't get the "multicore support" checkbox enabled, either.

We are looking for developers for MadTracker 3!

Experimental engine and volume column problem
Reply with quote

Experimental engine seems to mishandle the volume column of a track aswell in FT mode only.

When only the volume column has information without a note and sample number then it is ignored, whilst with the original engine applies the volume to already playing sample.

There's a workaround to this. Actually two. Either convert the track to MT mode OR if you insert the sample number on the corresponding column of a track with volume then it works on FT mode. If no sample number is given then the to apply new volume you need to use the effect column.
