When using instruments like guitars, one should be able to control what string is used, ie if I use E on the 5th string, which is not the same as E on 6th string, and then want to use F on the same (5th) string, the E would be cut. But if I use F on the 6th string, the E shouldn't be cut.

A suggestion to make this applicable would be to map tracks, say 0-5 (the tracks being, of course, controlled by the composer), as individual strings on a guitar. Then it's up to the composer to keep track of how the notes are played on the guitar. A better solution of this would be to use tracks the same way Renoise does.

OR

Make a new NNA in the Instruments-dialouge for guitars. But how that should work, I leave to you, Yannick.
