New Drum'n'Bass remix!

Yep! I made a Drum'n'Bass remix available on my music site http://c-frog.madtracker.net now.

The original is also drum'n'bass ofcourse..

One special thing about this remix is that it's completely made on Digibooster Pro 2.20 on Amiga Smile... Using 16 channels, 14 bit _real_ stereo and 44khz. It's recorded through my analogue Behringer Composer Pro MDX2200 (compressor) before I did some final mastering on the PC.. The original was made on Cubase and some samplers and synths though. Well, checkout the music page for further info Wink .. I might make the original available later on, but I have to talk to the author first Smile. But I can tell you that it's quite different.

Enjoy!

/Daniel

Nice track Cool
only thing i didn't like is the hard panning of the toms and hihats. the panning is fine in the the end(the very end), but during your loops I would tighten it up a a bit.

Comments as I listen:

hmmm, must say that it's not quite my cup of tea, so I'm probably not the right person to comment it, but I would be interested to hear the original none the less (for comparative reasons Wink ). However, I don't think there's anything wrong with the panning...well...on second thought, maybe it could be a bit tighter. Also, when listening through headphones, the song sounds a bit right-shifted. Could be because the bassline seems to be a bit panned to the right...At about 46 and 58 secs into the song there's something weird going down with the bassline, it runs from right to left for one sec maybe. This is probably intentional, but somehow it sounded wrong in my ears. Perhaps if it would be a longer transition it could work better, don't know Confused

I like that, uuuh, swirly background sound that plays throughout the track (can be heard playing besides the hihat right at the beginning of the track at about 20 sec into the song for instance). Gives the track a creepy feeling Smile In general also the song has a good DnBish energy to it Cool

Yes, your right, the bass is a bit right (or left?) shifted... But I thought that was okay since the bassdrum is in the middle, which is the most important part. Why I have it panned is because I combine two loops, and I thought I might add some air to it by doing this Smile ...

Thanx for the comment! Smile

well, for my taste it's to distorted. and it also has quite alot of backround noise (don't know if it was meant to be there tough) The things I like most about this track is the drums. If you didn't use loops you did a great job! The drum sounds seems to fit greatly with one and another, maybe except the tombs that starts of after like 4 minutes. Well, apart from this it's quite hard for me to give any good feedback to you since I'm not that into or familiar with this style. But I hoped this helped a little Rolling Eyes

Me like it! A lot actually. I like the fact that it's so distorted, and the panning doesn't bother me at all. There's a couple of moments when it's used a bit to the extreme I think (in transitions).

But I like this a lot, sounds original to me too. dunno if there's tracks out there that inspired you to do this, plz gimme some names then.

I like your remix better man. Is this the full version of the song? Sounds like a radio edit or something. Confused
