MadTracker Compo 2004 Webcast
Reply with quote

95 songs have been listened to thoroughly and reviewed in-depth by the judges of the MadTracker Compo 2004. The final ranking has been made up, and the quality of the entries has made it even more difficult than in previous years to come up with a winner. We pulled it off, and coming Sunday the 11th of July the results will be published.

Don't expect a flat list though: this year will be completely different. Starting at 8 pm CET, a special radio webcast will be broadcast via MadTracker.org, in which the best entries will be played and commented on. Don't miss out on this unique MadTracker event, in which the best producers of this moment will be rewarded with fame, glory, airplay, and 1500 euro of prizes.

Tune in to the MadTracker compo 2004 webcast, and indulge in hiqh quality music in all possible styles you can imagine... and more.

Btw if you have some mp3 on your webspace that you'd like me to play before the show, feel free to tell me. (It has to be 128kbps stereo, no vbr.)

Yes. The show would be coupled with IRC for thoose without broadband (or without soundcard Mr. Green). That way you'll have live reactions toward the entries.

A update of the current proces:

Yannick has installed the shoutcast server, and found another provider of webspace. This way atleast a 100 listeners can be provided with the stream realtime. Furthermore, the entries that will be broadcasted are edited and ready for publication online. I myself just finished recording, editing and sequencing the voicetracks.

This broadcast is gonna sound good coming sunday. Trust me. The compo entries really are amazingly interesting to listen to. Now let's hope that my English is good enough to be understandable (or bearable, for that matter Wink).

See you all next sunday,
Inge

There will be only one stream (128kpbs). If I can make another stream (64kbps) I'll do it - but I doubt I'll be able to.

Hmm.. too bad my MP3's are 160 kbps. Would this not be a problem, a couple of my tracks, thus 'Reaching for Eternity' and 'Seaside Cruise' could be fetched for playing at http://www.snowangel.info/music.php?mt=mp3&my=2004

Oh, I googled and:
CET=Central European Time
=11AM my time (PST-Pacific Standard Time)

I'll try to set a timer record.
