Who said you can't make true rock music with trackers ?
vfgdfg proves it is possible !

Excellent entry, atleast for people who like real strong rock music !

We have some really outstanding guitar parts here. My congratulations.

Thanks for the comments TNK.
And thanks for the jury for 6th place (especially Yannick Very Happy )!
And yay that results broadcast was great!

Now, few fords about the sound quality of this song since it was critized in the reviews. Following was stated in the rules: All the material in your MT2 file must be yours (no rip or remix). Also there was some discussion in the forum about it, so I went on and compiled all my personal crap samples that I could find to be used with the song.
The drums for example are actually recorded on fairly good drums but the mic that was used was some very crappy 10eur one plugged in to a crappy laptop. But imo they don't sound that bad in this particular song, actually the cymbals and hihats I use always in my songs and sound great imo. The snare would probably sound much better if better mic would have been used for it. If it wasn't for the rules I would have used Mo Ti's snares though. Also I would have used a better piano, synths, etc.
The compo deadline also came too early for me really so there was some final fiddling and polishing left undone, I was actually supposed to change some things completely, but I must say I'm reasonably happy with the results now.
Hopefully though if that audio CD thing is going to be pulled through I'll have time (and skills) to make a somewhat mastered version.

Nice idea this forum for compo results btw. Hopefully I'll be writing some comments later on to other songs but today I'll be driving back to the cabin to resume my summer vacation...

Ok, finally, congrats for everyone who participated.

Thanks,

vfgdfg
