Another quick question. I know that Automation works on a 'pattern by pattern' basis (it would be rather limited if it didn't, lets face it). But can you also use Automation to switch to a different FX on a track halfway through the song? e.g. Track 0 has reverb on it until the song gets to position 12 then automation switches the FX for track 0 to a filter or a stereo delay? Is this possible?

Or do I simply have to reserve another whole empty track in the pattern with the new FX on and swap the notes over to this track when I want it to happen?

Cheers

You can't change track effect in halfway of a pattern with the automation. You can with a pattern command though. (Check the help. Wink)

But it's not very recommended to change effect on the fly. You may get clicks.

Hi,

Well, i didn't quite mean halfway through a pattern, just halfway through a song. I checked the help, but I didn't quite understand the usage. Could you give me a quick couple of reference commands to demonstrate two different effects?

Thanks

Ben

--- -- -- F0 ---- = set channel fx to "no effect"

--- -- -- F0 0002 = set channel fx to "stereo delay"

--- -- -- 20 a050 = set instrument filter to cutoff=a0, resonance=50

--- -- -- F0 0004 = set channel fx to "flange"

--- -- -- F5 00A0 = set flange parameter LFO period to 160

hope that helps Smile
