Note:
MT 2.5 final will be in 2 flavors: full and light. The light one being without any VST plugins and with a subset of the samples.

Yes, that's because of the VST plugins that are bundled.

If there is a lot of demand, I'll make a light version of this RC.

So ehm, I tried using different interpolation settings and the HT support, but madtracker banged out instantly...

Are we still limited to liniar interpolation on playback in this release candidate yannick?
And is the new engine not finished yet?

Or am I doing things wrong completely Very Happy

Grtz!

It's me again, I have some other findings about the new rc...

- I have a feeling the vst engine is improved, now when I press stop, the sounds do realy stop. In RC4 they would sometimes continue, especialy when the instrument had an arpeggio playing.

- The new EQ knobs in the mixer, the pop-up labels are good, but what about coloring them, and making the 'mid Q' knob a bit smaller. On many mixers the EQ sweeps and gains are colored differently, this makes it easyer to see what you're doing.

- The improved patternmanager is great, especialy with the 'new' icon instead of just ins, wich I confused several times with the ins +1 button.

- the samples are of good quality and most of them are stereo, as are the vst FX's/instruments. I feel we have another mini compo on our hands Smile

- The only big thing I noticed being wrong is the thing I posted ealier. I hope you can fix it Smile

All in all, a great update!
Can't wait for mt2.5 final!

Grtz!

Thanks for the feedback.

About the interpolation, you shouldn't use the old Wave Export (which adds cubic and sinc) but wait for the new WE which will be out tomorrow.

Yannick!

The Track Equalizer in the Master thingie is GREAT! It still can't handle high settings though. Or maybe that is just my soundcard or something

The new RC is very stable untill now. More then RC4 Smile

The VST's are quite amazing also Very Happy

Does the Mp Reverb 2 sound even better or am I hallucinating Neutral?

I am very happy with it...

Very nice job! This is going the right way, thank you Smile

...and ofcourse our more-than-friendly MadTracker community buddies who helped with the helpfile (not included yet; will be done in the final release), the tips section (massive!), the sample pack (_0_), the choice of vst plugins (we're not worthy!) and all feedback during the last months. We hope this release will leave up to the expectations, and help releasing the final version soon Very Happy

Big up!

Inge

HI, I like the stuff you have put in mt, untill now it all works fine.
The only thing i am missing is in the mixer a small slider for panning for every channel, wich could be very usefull if you can automate it.
And as stated above i think its better to color the eq buttons, like red=high, green = mid and brown= low (almost similar to a SSL4000 serie) This will give you an easy overview of the mixer!

And for the rest , THUMBS UP!!!!!!! Very Happy
