I would like a nice webbased tracker with the option to save my work directly to my own webspace - so that i can track when away from home - please have it ready by the end of the week Wink

AJAX should make this possible, too.

Well, I made a song, but it seems like it's impossible to post it here, since the URL-tag does not like that the url has two * in the end of the address..

And the address is way to long to post it here without masking it with a url-tag..

Seriously, this idea....

I mean, if I remember correctly, MadTracker is gonna be a customizable program, which means, every MT is gonna be set up differently (personalized), so a web-based MT will/might be different then the one you have. If not, you can download MT on every computer connected to internet. Besides that, MT is very small (when not incuding samples and VST's). Which means, you can save MT AND the save files on an USB stick, or portable harddisk...

Not to mention, this webbased thing is not what Yannick's 'job' is. Don't forget, his, and I assume, our goal is MT3, and not 'cool' unnecesary thingies...

Sure......I am the MCP....Or just MC...Uhmmm...I make battle music...There....That is more then enough...

who said anything about Yannick being the one to do this? Wink As an idea I think it's cool, but like you hinted it would probably not be usable to make any serious work. But consider being on a deserted island (with an internet cafe for some strange reason) and then inspiration hits. You could surf to your MT-net version and scribble down the ideas quickly, so you don't forget them. Then when you get home you download what you have and continue.

Question: can you install MT on a USB stick and expect it to work on any computer (with the necessary hardware requirements covered of course)?

Well, that is what lap tops are for, portable enough. If not, buy a Nintendo DS and install that DS Tracker on it...

Ow, and... The technology for saving your activating your programs online is near. (Google is working on it) With this new thing coming, you can acces your computer online Cool

Maybe Yannick is not going by himself, but he still will have to invest in this. Looking at how many people will actually use this 'feature' >>> It looks unappealing to invest in this sort of stuff....

Besides, you can download MT right here. It is small and you can even save the MT file, and upload it right here....

I didn't say you have to install MT on an USB stick and if you didn't mean to be sarcastic, never mind this alinea and read further Surprised

Portable harddisks are available also. Plug and Play! I have a Lacie portable harddisk, 40 Gb, 100 Euro's. The price hurts, but at least I can back up my things, and use its portable power at any time Razz

Ow, by the way...

I think Yannick has done more then enough when talking about customer care. Take a look at this website, the support, the hosting, the personal assistance on the IRC channel, and everything else. Can you name any software, where the customer care is like this?

All I wanna say is, Yannick is doing MT3 all by his own, and for now, it is ALL I am looking for. Let's not interrupt till it is fnished, and let's stop asking all kind of things, so he can focus on this

Razz

PS

It isn't my intention to sound extreme or something...
