Didn't Yannick launch the shoutcast-stream earlier last year with just converted mt2-files playing? That could be done this year to, I'd say.
Yes, he did..

Maybe one should do a quick song which can be played in the precompo webcast Wink

Sorry if I'm just stupid, but HOW exactly do I listen to this webcast thingie, then? Just hang around at MadTracker.org?

There's going to be a link published to a radio stream from the web server. It works just like listening to any radio station within Winamp.

It's an example. Any media player that has the ability to process an internet stream or address should suffice.

Important: check your media player!

Make sure that you use an up-to-date media player that supports the .ogg file format! The stream makes use of ogg encoding, and therefore might give hickups with certain media players (Windows Media Player, Quicktime). You can check if your current media player can handle ogg by tuning in to the MadTracker Radion in advance.

The latest version of Winamp (5.22) is both a bliss to use as fully functional with the stream format. Other well known players are XMplay2, Sonique, Quintessential, Foobar2000, DeliPlayer, and dBPowerAmp. The complete list of software working with the ogg format can be found here.

The MadTracker Radio makes use of the .ogg file format. The reason for this is mainly that this makes everything completely legal. Chances are about 0, but there is a theoretical possibility that MadTracker.org gets sued for using the mp3 file format for the broadcast without having bought a license from Fraunhofer (till this day the legal owner of the technology and making millions of dollars due to that, I assume).
