Maybe Midi Sounds Compo???

well....

Haw many people will be interested to participate inside a "small" compo (without any kind of award...you know, only fame, and glory [and their songs in elektromusika.es.mw!]), making one MT2 (per user!), using only midi instruments??

It will be interesting, because in that the only things to value will be the originality, the use of VSTeffects, madtracker effects, and similar!

And all trackers change their "form" to make MT2 files here, and maybe it can help and it can improve our use of madtracker.
----
I don't know if someone will be interested in it!! please, tell me your opinions!!

The bases will be (can be modifiked!)...(actualized 20/07/2006)

-Only midi instruments, ilimited number!
-You can't use all king of VSTinstruments
-You can use all kind of VSTeffects
-You can use all kind of madtracker effect
-Un-limited number of MIDI-Instruments (of your soundcard)
-Time of MT2 file: from 1minute to "unlimited"RazzRazz
-End of the Compo's Time: Un-Know (maybe at the end of September!)

Okay... Just tell me how to use the samples from my soundcard and then how to save them with an MT2-file. I have no idea on how to do this..

Make a new instument and go to the synth.tab. Choose midi/vst enabled- then choose one of the soundcard/general midi devices, and filck through the prog.# to choose ur instrument, and ur set Wink

NO! NO! what kind of "simple" MT2 file, is it?? Wink Rolling Eyes

let's see....

1-create a new instr
2-put on "synthesizer"
3-inside "MIDI/VST Insrtument", select on "device" your soundcard
4-after that, change the "programme" (programme=midi instrument), and use this "midi-instrument".
5-repeat from nš1, all times you want
enjoy it!!

saving our MT2??
well...click on "save as" jajaj!!!
the use of midi instruments, or VSTintruments, or wav, aiff etc etc on madtracker, don't modificate the form to save your file!!

In this case, using only MIDI sounds (of your soundcard), and all VSTeffects and MadtrackerEffects and similar, the form to save is the "normal".... is the same!!
----

Well....2people interested! jaja....PLEASE!! I NEED MOREE!!
There are too many time, don't worry, to make this Midi MT2.
but..please!! need more people!Razz!Razz

Actualy it IS general midi. Since your using the General midi soundpallet.

I wont be competing because of some other stuff, but you need to select the windows midi driver as synth not your soundcards, that's because of the fact that different soundcards produce different midi sounds. Windows has an built in synth that sounds the same everywhere.

when you put the results online please let someone with an old SoundBlaster Pro card render the results on it's soundcards midi driver. I just LOOOVVEEEE those FM sounds those cards could produce Smile

Yeah!! it's true!!Razz
but, the idea I have in my mind, is that the "songs" will send in "ogg" (beacouse the "sounds") and in "mt2" (because the use of program, effects and similar!)
so...

-the "quality", the "theme" and the "global sound" will be puntued listening the "ogg" file...
-and the "technic" and the "use of madtracker" will be puntued by the "MT2" file...

The "originality"... well, 50% MT2file and OGGfile.
