How do I load RAW samples?

I have downloded a sample pack and none of the sample have any file extention.

I have tried making them .WAV and .IFF but they still don't work.

Is there a way of opening the raw file on MT?

Well I downloaded the large sample pack from here...

And I tried a couple of samples but they didn't work.

Let me know if you get them to work. Smile

Well by a quick experiment MadTracker is unable to load those, but you can at least do it with Audacity with the "bring raw data" option and then save them as WAV if needed. Guess you're into some old-school stuff to be needing those samples... By searching the web I also found hints about Renoise being able to load those, but I'm too lazy to try out.

I'm not especially into the old school stuff but I would like to get all of the old ST- disks in one hit just for the value of them!

I would like to find mass renameing or reformatting softawre to do a bunch in one go to save a huge amount of time!

Well I did a search with "raw to wav" and it seems there at least are several commercial products for the job. One freeware I encountered several times, but the download links were broken. So off to searching or buying, I guess. Though, if the only value is actually just having them, I don't know why would you even want to convert..
