If you mean, that it can play the rest of the sample after a loop as a note off option, then I want that too. |

Thanks! It was a cat that just walked up to me in the street. So I used it as my "branding" for CEREMONY and called the last album "Streetcat". |

Then it's agreed. Your avarta is cool, and a sample release point is to be in order. |

Hello. I'm new to the forum so I guess it's really hard-on to start making suggestions in my first posting. Anyway, after 2 years of extensive MT2 use, I just can't help myself:
* Arpeggio-generator (No I don't make trance)
* Better MIDI support assign tracks to midi channels for triggering of external synths
* Chord tracking. Basically deciding which type of chord you want and track the base-tone. Perhaps this could be done with a channel effect, similar to arpeggio (that's 0 ), except the actual instruments get assigned to acutal channels in the pattern.
After all, it should be a tracker and not just a hub for vst/dx plugins Ofcourse, I'm dying to use those possibilities as well.
Keep up the good work,
dominei |

A nice & simple addition to MT3 (or mt 2.3 final!!) would be to make flats as well as sharps available. I know it's not really necessary, but here's one way it could work -
while transposing with alt-F1 or F2, if you approach a note from above (by using alt-F1) it becomes a flatted version of the current note.
approaching it from below (F2), you'll get a sharp version of the current note.
example- you have 'D'. alt-f2 leads to D#. alt-F1 leads to Db. another alt-F1 brings you to C. alt-F2 NOW brings you to C#.
what do you think? unnecessary extra confusion for newbies? maybe this could be an option you toggle on/off.
does anything else think this might be cool? it would also make MT2 -> MIDI conversion a little smoother, i think. is that being planned for mt3? |

I don't think theres any reason to call the same note two different things. If it should be in MT3 it should definately be optional. |

Yeah I agree that it should be optional, if Yannick thinks this is worth his time at all. There are reasons, though!
One more suggestion: A keyboard shortcut for the New Pattern With Active Tracks command. It's such an awesome feature already. Maybe a shortcut already exists that I don't know about? |

? yea but no shortcut for New With Active Tracks, right? Maybe it could be on the right click menu when you click the pattern list. |

Yeah. I'm sorry if I was unclear; my accidentals suggestion was completely unrelated to my shortcut-for-New w/ Active Tracks suggestion.
I think it's under the Pattern menu. It's been around since before the 2.3 release candidate thing ... brilliant feature Yannick |

I'm not sure this has been asked before...
Will MT3 contain of channels which reminds more of synthesizers "voices", which means that a track won't necessary be locked to one or four channels?
Why I ask, is because it would be nice to be able to use more than one sample at the same time, in the same instrument, which will be played at the same time. These would be controlled by the same envelopes... This could be used to make good synthbass sounds for example. If you use three samples, three of the maximum of voices will be taken by that instrument then.
