[Resources] Sample sites

Because of popular request, here's a rather extensive list of sites where samples can be downloaded. I do not guarantee the quality of all sites, since this is just a copy-paste of an existing list. Please post your results if you use any of the links, so that bad links can be removed, and good ones be highlighted. Furtermore, below this list is a user-list with sites that weren't mentioned yet. Feel free to contribute your own knowledge of good samplesites, and they will be added as soon as possible.

As I wrote in my post, I simply copied the links from another forum (http://www.dnbforum.nl/forum/index.php?board=4;action=display;threadid=5038, so I can't tell Wink. I think they also copied it from another source, so it shouldn't be a problem. You can also follow the link to get (very much) additional sites for samples.

Thank you so far for the feedback. I've currently been going through some of the links to check whether they are functional or not. Please post any comment about the sites here, so that we can make a functional and up-to-date link-list for samplesites. New links are also always more than appreciated!

Kind regards,
Inge (sleepy but happy Wink)

Thank you, most noble Tom...I'm downloading stuff from it right now, but according to the descriptions given at the site, this site might be a very interesting place for drum-related work.

Kind regards, and keep the samplesites coming,
Inge

Found another one, doesn't seem to be on the list at least Smile Looks good, direct download to the samples. Variating quality on the samples, but most seem to be ok.

umm, i love bass, bass is my life and joy. bass bass bass and bass. so i checked out bassculture.org and found there some godd bass's, but... There always is a but... When i started dl'ing the sounds there just came: getting file information... and nothing more! i got teo sounds out of the 7 i tested. is that a setting in my comp? a flaw at the site or am i hysterical?

The dataserver of this site might have temporarily been down. I tried it, and it works like a charm here. You might have had other downloads at the same time, and maybe your internet explorer is limited to a certain amount of downloads at the same time. Eitherway, please try again. If it works at my place, it should work everywhere Smile

hi again ppl. im very concerned about my dl'ing samples history. either it doesn't work because of server downfall or because of some java bla bla bla or this and that, the newest problem is: http://www.djbb.dk/bb_samples.php#Acid i tried and tried to dl from it but nothing happened except the usual, a list over what to do: detect network settings and all that.... What am i going to do? maybe ill just quit it and delete the mt2 program out of my system... seems to be the only way... or maybe ill just destroy my computer and start living as a monk. My computer doesnt seem to understand that i NEED to make music, it shouldnt be hard.... Damn (excuse me) this all, im getting depressed and annoyed.....................................................

Don't worry. It also doesn't work for me (server seems to be down there). Just try another sample-site, and post your conclusion here. I guess you just happen to have chosen a wrong site.
