I dont think much of the prizes this time. Promotional MT2 disc featuring MT2 and audio tracks? I make audio cd's every day featuring my own music, it's not something I'm looking to win!

Hurry up and find a decent piece of hardware to win, until then I'm gonna be working on my paying projects!!

Good for you. Wink
But we aren't talking about a simple CD-R with your tracks in. This will be a "real" CD produced in 1000 units.

In regards to the compo... HUZZAH! Cool Cool

A question though: When you say "All the material in your MT2 file must be yours (no rip or remix)", you're talking about the tune itself, right?

then don't enter, all the better chances for the others, who aren't so picky about their free promotional channels Wink

I mean all the materials in your MT2 file. Wink The melody and the samples.

Ah crap, there's no way I'm gonna get a reasonable entry in now Rolling Eyes

...any exceptions?
Say, breakbeat loops, for instance? Confused

If, against my own expectations, I would get such high score that my tune would feature on that compilation; is it possible that you get the forthcoming mastered version of the tune, instead of the compo-version, on the audio part of the disk? (Well, the only real difference will be that I will use some compressors on the mix...)

Yes it's possible c-frog. I plan to have all the audio tracks mastered anyway. And maybe some entries will have to be shortened a bit to fit on the CD as well.

I've also had my stuff on cd with real printed labels and covers (so there you go)....

No, I was just being grumpy this morning because the whole of the company I work for are mooving offices and I'm the lucky guy who gets to tie in all the cables on the severs. What a pain in the arse. Spegheti Server (tm).

I'm now relaxed and back at my desk viewing web again.... ahhhh!

Of course I'll take part, and show you all what I've been doing.

Muahahahahahh!

I'm looking forward, EM22. I've heard both crappy as amazing tunes from you, so I strongly wonder what you will bring up. You got the potential to score quite high, so I'm preparing my AKG's to get massaged by your beats Wink

Thing is: try to be as original and creative as possible. Removing the patterns from another MT2 and using the samples found there "because they are so well-chosen together" is *strongly* discouraged.

The production guide (http://quinone.madtracker.net/pg.htm, should be online this week at the compo page) holds some lines on how to create you own samples and so on.
