Anyone heard the new infected-album?

I recently heard the new Infected Mushroom album "Converting Vegetarians". I was both surprised and not surprised. I should know by this time that Infected are wicked enough to pull off anything, and once again they did, big time! Anyone else heard it?

Only thing I ever heard was the remix you once made of them Smile What style is it, and why should I get it?

the most often produce wicked psychadelic tunes, but this new album is ambient, and sounds almost nothing like them. It sounds pretty much like "Shpongle", if you've heard them. If not, DO! Very Happy

Not necessarily... Cool This site has quite a nice explanation of 'what is goa'.

It is. I asked a friend who went there, and he said that Goa is a province/area/city. He also said that he was almost killed by the amount of goa-cd's that were thrown at him by local sellers there. Goa-producers: go there and find your source of inspiration Smile

Yeah, I've understood that Goa is an area. It's pretty obvious that the main thing that separates trance from goatrance is that there's lots of the melodies made out of indian scales Smile.. I dunno if there's any goatrance producer from India though? Rolling Eyes

Goa is the place where goa is from, you know that in the sixties (or seventies or whatever... Confused ) A lot of hippies went to Inda. It was those old hippies who 'invented' Goa.

psynews.org wrote:
During the late sixties Goa has turned into a beach for freaks, rock stars, travelers, and various other excitement hunters, who lived by the ancient mantra of "sex, drugs and rock and roll". Although the fab of Goa has dropped by the late 80's, a hard-core group of Europeans and Americans have remained in that place. By the early 90's, people in Goa have found out the wonderful effect of the Acid music on a stoned head and started to further develop the style. The first people to do so were Goa Gil (It's really THE Goa-guru and a completely insane hippie from San Francisco) and his friends, who were living in Goa and experimenting with various musical styles to dance to since the late 60's (They made a LP with their post-industrial band Kode IV on Belgium's KK label).
