Cool!! Guess i gotta start finding out what VST-plugins are now!

FM7 keeps craching on me when i select another instrument (or preset or whatever it's called). I can send you more details if you want them. (tell me what you wanna know)

EDIT: When i say crashing, i mean "blue screen"-crashing (on win98) - some other plugins does it too.

Hey, if Nullsoft can do it with Winamp, who's to say Yannick can't do the same with MadTracker?

Hey Yannick,

If I install the new Madtracker will that disable my current version? In other words, will both programs be available on my computer or will I only be able to use the new version?

Thanks,
David

Think of them as addon code to your music software to do more stuff.

Good question. I guess we'll have to find that out ourselves. I should be downloading it soon.

And thank you Yannick for releasing the beta to all of us. Smile

Just install it to a separate folder and you'll be able to use both versions, but not both at the same time Wink

works very well!

excellent! Very Happy

i just managed to write a tune without it crashing on me! Wink and a lot more vst plugins work, including waves plugins..

this is a winner for me, no other piece of software has ever came close - cubase and all alikes are non-starters..

my only problem is that i am moving house this week and wont have much time to play with these new features Crying or Very sad

Umm, so where do we post crash reports? In this thread? I just had one, but forgot to copy it down. I'm sure I'll get another crash.

And I do have years of beta testing experience (a couple of big mods and a major bug patch for a specific computer 3D game).

The report is sent by e-mail automatically if you keep the "send report" checkbox when closing the crash window.

Oh. But that assumes my internet connection is on all the time, right? I'm dialup, so there will be a 75% chance I'll be offline during testing. Will it also create an error log that it writes to the local drive?

You can copy/paste it where you want and send it later by e-mail.

Maybe a "save log as..." button would be handy.
