Probably never.
I don't think it is currently being developed.
Didn't I read that the code was released as open source in case someone else wanted to continue development?

Request to Yannick: A simple "The project is still alive, be patient" or "Madtracker is officially dead, be happy with MT2 and shut up about MT3 already" would be appreciated. I'd love to see it live, but I personally have no computer coding ability to make it happen.

Just let us know what's going on. Please?

Really, if some official word comes then, it will be worth while we giving the project some help. I guess we can write to some sound/audio technology company or something, if they might be interested in furthering mad-tracker as an open source project?

If Yannick comes over and gives some official word, we may try marketing the project. After all its we all who benefit from it.

MT3 is going to be open-source. Right now I'm seeking developers.

Exactly what in the way of features are there to be anticipated/expected from MT3?

And what about MT2.6.1? I can understand that there may be no more feature updates to it, but is it now dead as far as further bug fixes, if any?

there are a couple bugs here and there in mt2.6.1, but nothing huge that i've noticed. some of the more advanced guys here can probably give you the bugs they experience, but as for a novice like myself (only been tracking for a year)there's nothing noticeable. haven't had any problems that weren't caused my my screw up in the first place.

as for mt3? ... i would assume maybe better graphics? ... honestly thats all that i can see that might need improvement ... somewhere ...

even if they don't come out with MT3, i'm very satisfied with MT2
