The guide seems helpful enough... Thanks for putting that up Inge
A couple of things though:
1) "KISS Wave Editor" and "Rock 'n Wave Editor" are one and the same, RnWe's just a newer version
2) "KISS Wave Editor" isn't even available on the net anyway, so in the end it's not exactly free...
But otherwise, for the guide. |

Mind everyone btw: the *static* suggestions in the production guide (gain usage, interpolation usage) are also written down in the review guide, and thus will be used by the reviewers. Not following these (say, for instance, using gain 6) might result in a less good review than possible.

Question:
Is there a sound editor that's compatible with Triangle II?
Don't say Chainer, I can't figure that damn thing out |

Oh, come on. Chainer is dreadfully simple. Honoust: just load the vsti, configure the synth, go to 'export' and select the notes & range that you want exported. It *really can't be made any easier.
The fact you're still in highschool can *not* be used as an excuse for own stupidity!

Personally, I've found Chainer to be the most confusing program I've ever used!
I tried loading it up, and nothing happened.
Nothing, I say!
*still hasn't read the help file for Chainer yet... is there a help file?*
Inge wrote: | It *really can't be made any easier. |
Yes it can.
It could've been made as a DirectX plugin.
edit: Ok, checked TriangleII when I got home, it's a standalone which makes things a bit easier... A bit.
I can't get any sound from it because I don't have a midi cable for my keyboard, and I can't be stuffed to get up and one either `cause I'm lazy.
Anyone know how to use eBay? |

You have no idea how lame my school is.
I think, in later life, I'll sue them for wasting my time. That way, if they say "But he was wasting OUR time!" I can say "Well hey, yous' were the ones that set that example." |

staying off-topic: I think what he is talking about is that chainer requires some ASIO stuff to make any sound. Whatever ASIO is, my soundcard (soundblaster16) haven't got it, and his probably haven't either. |

When I first tried Triangle 2 I couldn't get it to work.
I went to this site and downloaded asio4all.
http://michael.tippach.bei.t-online.de/asio4all/
I am using Win XP with a soundblaster live card.
After installing the driver, Triangle 2 worked, and I can use the computer keyboard instead of a outboard keyboard for note entry.
This is a beta program, but I have had no problem with it.

Ummh, I'm confused.
Is it - or is it not ok to use ripped/downloaded samples? |

If you use ripped samples (which is common practise in tracking), it is really better if you have the authorisation of the sample creator.
As the entires can be featured on a CD, copyright issues are very important.
