whole sample played when inserting note?

whole sample played when inserting note?		 Reply with quote
Hello, Im new to Mad Tracker and I am having trouble with a certain feature of Mad Tracker. I come from a Impulse Tracker background, and when giving Mad Tracker a try there is one feature that I can't seem to figure out, and that is how do you setup Mad Tracker to play the WHOLE sample when you hit a key to insert a note in the sample editor, even after you let go of the key like in Impulse Tracker? I don't really like the fact that I have to hold down the key to hear the whole sample, I would like to be able to hit it once quickly and let go and still hear the whole sample when I am inserting a note? Please help, thank you.

its not possible

but

you can insert note into the track and watch the sample in sample editor when pattern is playing

Actually, what you're asking is possible.

Just hit the Sample Editor button, hold down the note key (Any one, except for N and P), click on the Loop drop-down menu, and release the note.

Then you can go around and edit as normal.



Ignore that "Forward" in the image. I just loaded in a looped sample. O_o
