How do you loop a drum or sample. When I lay down the drum tracks there is always a break at the end and the beginning of the track. How do I make it continuous?
Do you mean that your drumloop - doesnt loop correctly? You could try to change the bpm of the song to match your loop.
If you BPM is already at the pace you want - you might try to change the pitch/speed of the drumloop. Play it in another "key" and finetune the pich from the instrument settings. Be aware that changing the pitch more than 10 percent (rule of thumb) will most likely result in poor sound quality.
There are some VSTs and programs that can change the BPM without changing the pitch - but thats pretty laboursome - so you might just want to look for another loop that fits your song better.
however, there's also another, slightly less time-consuming method, provided you know how many "beats" your sample has - and sometimes even when you don't
just select the instrument you want to loop correctly, go to sample menu, click on properties. then on the right, in the sample edit area, check the Synchronized checkbox and set beats to the thought-to-be-correct integer (try the powers of 2, usually 16 or 32 gets you to the desired result).
