I have the firewall that came with my windows xp. I want a better one. What is a VERY good firewall i can download and use for free that dosen't slow down my computer?
Yeah XP firewall is decent enough, only it doesn't monitor outgoing traffic. I don't know. I tried Zonealarm when looking for a new firewall, but it didn't work that amazingly for me. I went back to using Kerio 4, which I have used since I bought the computer. Nowadays it's Sunbelt Kerio 4. It has worked good enough for me. I also tried Outpost for the trial period and liked that one. I think you should try out for yourself.
Check Avira.My brother is a on-line windows user from many years and he use this one now.
I use Arcavir 2006 but it cost some 45$ to download protection updates for 1 year and 3 workstation protection.
