Audacity is good. It's also free and very versatile. You could also use Kristal, but it's a bit quirky. Goldwave is free as crippleware (you are limited in use unless you pay for it) but some swear by it.
Only what is done for Christ will last.

This is a matter of taste I'd say. Adobe Audition imo does a good job if you don't mind paying. Pro Tools is another option...

it is dificult because i am looking program for vista compatible.i used to work with adobe but now i cant.i will buy some pro stuff so please tell me what to buy.thx

Adobe Audition is Vista compatible. I have no problem using it. I have Vista 32 bit though, I don't know if you do too?
