In some VSTs when you send a note off it doesn't stop the note. I speak of Slayer2 in particular, but there are others. Even putting a sample of silence in the same track after the note doesn't cut it off. How do you get the stupid thing to SHUT UP already?!
Jimm, this one is for you. You're the one who recommended Slayer2 to me, so I assume you know how to use it. |

i'm afraid that this may not be solved because simply some vstis don't receive or handle note-offs normally - even bigger names, like edirol orchestra messes it up. so it's up to the plugin developers... |

Is there a way to use the CC command to do this? I'll have to try.

CC command? What's that?
Only way I can think of is to play a note, export it as wav, and use the wav as the instrument in the song. That is cumbersome, awkward and annoys me to no end. |
