synchronized sample and '90' command

I was just checking out this synchronized sample thing when I came across what could be a bug.?

it appears that 8000 parameter for 90 command starts the sample from the beginning rather than from the 128th beat. And 9000 is the same as 1000, etc... Now, I can't see why this is useful, so I think it's a bug... (and it also means I'm gonna have to cut my 4 minute sample smaller pieces Sad )

or am I missing something?
