 |
I've made a new tune, although I've not decided if I should put up this version on my homepage or not. I'm thinking of resinging the song on it, because it sounds a bit to unstable in some parts. Well, you can listen to the existing (which is the final version, when speaking of the mixing and mastering) .. Acoustic drums programmed in MT2, the rest is cubase; almost only hardware, except one tiny little vsti, called Microsynt programmed by the one and only, C64-music legend, Chris Huelsbeck (http://www.huelsbeck.com/vst.html).
Well, back to the topic!

woo.. sounds exciting! downloading.. will review further tomorrow
edit 23.03.2004:
yarrr.. darn man.. if only that guitar at the start was real! other than that, sounds nice and quite melodic. the music is soothing, but the singing i don't quite understand .. but the vox could have been processed a little - what i mean is, run them through some vocal compression to get an even volume all round? maybe its been done already but i just got the feeling that it hasnt..
btw, is this tune some kind of sad ballad? its kinda cool apart from me not understanding a single thing!

Thanx, but I've decided to resing or dub the song ... It'll be better than. More stable.. It'll get some "version"-name then

That's a surprise. I now got both versions of this song, and the differences are quite remarkable. Your voice sounds more stable in the second version, but the snare in the second edit seems to be too loud. I like the double vocals and the main melody (try denying being influenced by Depeche Mode ).
Sadly, you definately need to work on your vocals. You sound like you're trembling with fear while singing, and thus lacking all power and convincing elements necessary to overwhelm me. Eventhough the fragility of your voice is supposes to be this way, the fear-based tremolo is quite, er, audible.
I definately like the effort though. Keep posting these things!

Thanx for the comment.
No, I know, I'm no master of singing.. Not any longer at least. I've been better.. But I'm not ashamed of not being the worlds best singer ... Ofcourse I will work more and more with my voice since more of my tunes in the future will contain lyrics. Thanx for listening

SPeaking of Depeche Mode.. Yes, they're the most important music group in my life, so ofcourse I'm inspired. But actually it wasn't really intended to sound like Depeche Mode... But ofcourse.. Sad electronic music sounds often a bit like Depeche |

I like this tune man, the chorus stays in my head. I don't dislike you voice that much, i think it's quite ok, but probably a little more professional singer would do better yeah... Or just try again maybe... |
