Hi,

Oh how I remember when I made 2-3 full-length tracks in a matter of month. Now I'm happy if I can even start something once a year...

Anyway, here's something I came up with tonight. It has some heavy influences from Kava and Hermann & Kleine, I believe brokenbeat is what they call it Rolling Eyes It's not ready or anything, I just soo liked the beat and kind of a laidback attitude of its repetitiveness. (Vocal is taken from 'Head in the Clouds').

Here's the link
Have a listen and drop me a few lines of feedback if you feel like it Smile

I know what you mean. I've barely made two tracks this year I think...

but back to your tune. Yes, this is good Smile I love the drums, even though the drumpattern doesn't change that much over the course of the tune, it still stays interesting. I think the title was very fitting also, because I did get a sort of happy flying feel out of this (and no, I'm not on drugs Wink ). I think this can mainly be attributed to the drums again. Like the intro also, you've done a good job of using Charlize's voice (where did you get that sample?)

After about the middle of the song however you start to loop the same pattern over and over. Although it's a good pattern as such, it does get a bit repetitive in the end. Perhaps spice things up a bit more with some short breaks from the drums, add some more elements or remove something, just don't leave it looping the same pattern through 40% of the song.

Overall though a very enjoyable piece of music, went into my playlist right away Smile

I really like this too. Not my usual taste, but this is very good for an unfinished piece. The cheesy Theron vocal doesn't help at all in my opinon. I'd rather it wasn't there.

But hey. I can feel a sunbuster remix coming on...

You know what, I'd love to give it a try actually Smile But with my inspiration knocking on the door about twice a year these days I'm not promising anything Wink So Future Tribe, if you feel like it, why not send over the stuff.

I know, that's why I said it's not ready Wink The second half of the tune is pretty much the same pattern looped over and over, with some tracks occasionally muted. It will most definately have some major variations in drum patterns in the final version (again, if I ever get that far). But I'm glad you like it, gives me some motivation to work on it Smile

And I wouldn't mind at all to send you the source MT2. I'll upload it somewhere and give you the link.

I dunno.. for me it kind of adds to the atmosphere Rolling Eyes But maybe it's because I've seen the movie where the sample is taken from

Nice intro, nice happy drumbeat with lots of action, and a ambient bassline that flows on and on and on.

I really like this song too! Need a lot of work from center to end to add variation, but the first 3 minutes are excellent!

Haha, guess what I did on the new year's eve? Yeah, tracked!

Here's a little updated version of this tune. I haven't had the chance to make variations to the beat yet, but the added melody should compensate that.

Da link

Unfortunately I had to change the jumpy tempo to the normal one, it added aweful clicks to stereo delays. Maybe it's a bug, or maybe that's just how madtracker responds to tempo changes, I dunno.

Oh, and I really like that sudden comeback at 5:11 Smile

And of course, the tune is not ready yet, but thankfully it sounds like it will be some day.

I'm liking this new version. Very soothing, perhaps a bit too floaty, in other words a bit too much reverb on occasions, but otherwise this is top notch stuff. I'm not sure about the last two minutes of soloish outbursts though. On one hand it gives a good contrast to the rest of the track. On the other hand I think it disturbs the peace that the first five minutes built. The first five minutes were like built for relaxation at night before bedtime, but the last two minutes give a brutal wakeup call.

I liked the original title more (if you can't really comment the track, you got to comment the title Wink ). The original title had a sort of orbital weirdness to it and had you guessing what it was about, whereas this new title just says what it is. Not as interesting...

Nice track!

I like these type of sounds....chilly, kinda ambient.
And I guess I´m going to like Charlize Theron even more now Razz.

Specially at 3:26 when the tunes get in some trancy rush.

And very good drum arrangement Wink.
