Sup?

I made a track for school named : Maxtor Hitachi -> http://zebox.com/plugexpert/

The name comes from the 2 harddisks that died on me in 2005. My idea for the assignment was to have the analogue rhythems sync up with sampled broke harddisk sound. In the end I only used the ticking harddisk for 3 intro seconds and made the composition entirely on my computer.

any words would be nice Smile

Richard

its complete madness. cant really be described as music, its more arhthymic sound effects, but i listened to it all the way through anyway because it was fascinating.
i am incapable of criticising or commenting on it as its a completely new concept.

It reminds me of the outro of the Tipper album Surrounded. I like it. It contains nice warm elements, great diversity and unconventional structures. Can the hdd's also make europop? That would be nice Smile

Thumps up. Its fun to listen to, and as far as I can tell a lot of work went into making this interesting. The sounds are well put together, creating a complete atmosphere.

wow....
it's really immersive, like a musical description of something. reminds me of a big old factory at night time, radioactivity, and that aphex twin bouncing ball track.
i love it! got any more like this? Very Happy

[ps] commiserations on the hard disks btw. two in one year, that's just dreadful luck!!

Fucking hell I fucking love it!! Very Happy

Every second is different and unique and it's just fucking cool.. Don't got any other words on it. It reminds me a lot about a song from Aphex Twin. It is called: Aphex Twin - Bucephalus Bouncing Ball and is on the Come To Daddy EP (I think)... Where you in any way inspired by him or something?

Anyway... Some pointers would perhaps be, throw in some percussion and a weird melody and it would be near perfect I guess... Keep up the good work anyway.

nine : "It reminds me a lot about a song from Aphex Twin.. Where you in any way inspired by him or something?"

Heard the "Bucephalus Bouncing Ball" comment also on other messageboards Smile I rate Aphex Twin's music very high, he has made classics that I really love. In general he (& his label) has defenitely influenced me.

no, that was just a joke! I delivered them the tracks on cd, and they made up this story about finding a tape full music:)

I'm from The Hague btw.. Very Happy

And as I thought. Your work contained some things that made me think about Aphex Twin, and he is totally awesome! Very Happy

heh, 27 year old student fossil, being called a boy! thanx Smile
Yeah, I'm not sure.. I am supposed to study, but the school is much too technical, like I'm supposed to study C (with portaudio) right now, but rather tear apart some beats to mangle with effects.
