cubase samples

i am going mad here, all iwant to is record sample mangle it a bit and then play it back via midi, can anyone help before I loose the will to live, have been downloadig free stuff all day but nothing seems to fit Crying or Very sad

Well if you've been at it whole day, guess I've got nothing new to show...

But still, Kristal I guess would be for recording and maybe Paax for sampling...?
