Tooltips on the mixer

I'd like to know if there's any way I can disable the tooltips on the mixer levels. Any time I hover the mouse pointer over a channel's level slider, a tooltip pops up and covers the top of VU meter, making it impossible to see if that channel is in danger of clipping.

How can I get rid of it?
