Hello! You may (actually you probably don't) know me as Sparky Monololak. I have been using MadTracker for about a month now, but just now signed up on the forum. You can find my songs at sparkymonololak.webs.com . The only reason why I don't use a MadTracker registered user page is because I'm too young (13) and don't have a credit card, and my parents won't let me use theirs. Let me know what you think! (Although I have yet to release an album and have only released one song at the moment.)
Remember, I'm very new at this stuff, so please, no "you suck" comments. |

sorry for my bad english....
I dont know if its the right word, but it sounds monotone to me... theres no variation. you seem to use the track effects well but your "song" sounds like you repeat the same pattern all the time...
you are young and if you practise much you will become a great musican. you definitely have much more talent than me... |

Well, thats actually only the 2nd song I made, and in the album there will be more songs, almost all of them are not "monotone" like you said. In fact, I just last night finished a song and shared it with my buddy over in France and he liked it enough to want to play it at his New Years party. |

Hi, always fun with a new name on the forum.
1. It's to repetitive you need more variations in the synths and the beat.
2. You seem to use three different melodic instruments. As the all play the low-register they clash making it sound blurry.
3. The break and the ending. No transitions and the break is just a pause from the beat.
I'm sorry but I don't think this track is release worthy. Generally the first three song one makes are pretty bad so don't take this the wrong way. Keep on tracking. |

Once again this is the least of my songs.
If you want to hear my latest song then PM me, I guess I can share it with a select few people. |

Had a listen to the track. I agree with Amok and Frazze; it was a bit monotone, and the bass was a bit overdone. A simple drum beat, but I can't talk, my first track wasn't much better.
Anyway, hope you mix a few good tracks.

P.S. I can give a link for my first song if you want... and I haven't made any new tracks for ages... I've been experimenting with synthesizers. |

Welcome to tracking! You have a pretty good start there. I wish I was that good when I started! I won't add anything new to the comments in general, but I'll give this advice...keep cranking out songs, expect most to suck and/or get nowhere. That's okay, it'll all be a learning process for you. Every once in a while a song will pop out that is totally awesome and you'll realize that you just pushed yourself forward a bit. Keep it up! |
