The Conquest Of Scandinavia
4. Binärpilot (Oslo)
And chaos is what I got. During my stay in Oslo, Binärpilot and a friend of his temporarily lived together in a room large enough to host approximately one bed, one person, and one computer. Stuffing six computers, three persons, three beds, one oversized television and sixty kilo's of pizza boxes and cans of beer and coke inside such a room is not the best way to go. It nevertheless was more than enjoyable to spend my weekend with these two fine young lads. Oslo itself isn't that exciting as Trondheim was: it's the capital, and therefore way more touristic (and thus less authentic and genuine) than how I perceived Trondheim. I did visit the parliament (including a guided tour through it), the main street, the king's residence, and the university museum, but after 14 days of doing similar things the real excitement was lacking. Another day, another town, another museum. I therefore only did the typical touristical things the first day there, and spent the other two days simply with Binärpilot and his friend on his room. We watched comedies, played games, drank beer, hacked the occasional bank to pay for our excessive intake of herbal drugs chatted with little gothic girls, got awoken by some random drug addict who screamed her heart out while she was being arrested just below the window of Binärpilot's appartment, and discussed music, lifes, women, and ways to make moves on dead animals future prospects. It was good to not be busy all the time with what to do, where to sleep, who to meet and how to do all that. Sitting and chilling can sometimes be better than walking and discovering.
