6. Final words

Finally, sixteen days after I left the safe and well-known environment of my own house, I returned to it. I've met great persons, I've seen beautiful places, and I've experienced amazing things. The combination of travelling while reading books, writing, talking and listening music, exploring new regions of the world, meeting brand new persons (both dreadfully boring as very interesting ones who I would came to consider friends), and being all on my own was an experience I wouldn't want to trade for any other type of holiday. The only real downside is that I haven't seen a single moose. Or are they just a hoax?

My Conquest of Scandinavia might have inspired you to do a similar thing. I assume that the photo's of the various places, and the descriptions of the many locations possibly triggered your imagination. I hope they did, and if so, then my goal is fulfilled. I can imagine that you also want to start your own quest for mooses, or other animals. If so, then assure yourself that the MadTracker community will possibly be willing to help you out. The four persons from the MadTracker community that I've met have all been very friendly, hospital, and fun to hang out with. They, together with the many other persons I've met, made my interrail adventure a beautiful experience. My advice therefore is to use the forum or IRC to get into contact with other persons if you wish to visit a certain region. Users from Melbourne to London, and from Arkansas to Moscow are active inside the community of MadTracker. Why not allow yourself to meet new people, and learn more about the place you are going to visit by getting information from people who live there?
