Wow, this tune kicks you in the face right from the start, no talk about easing in here. Some sort of smooth fade-in could have been good, especially since a pretty hefty volume has been pushed out of the system. Mind you, the volume has been achieved without distorting anything much (the master clip indicator turned on once), which is pretty good. To be honest, this is one of the loudest madtracker tracks I've heard that still manage to stay within the limits pretty much.

I really liked the tune, up until pattern 16, then those horribly overused trance strings kick in and the mood of this tune was destroyed for me. Couldn't you have done the tune without these strings? Especially considering that you have a piano playing in there somewhere also. Mixing the piano with theses over the top strings somehow didn't fit at all. The trance strings also made the tune messy somehow, clarity was lost when these strings kicked in.
I really liked instrument 63 though, and the way it was used in the track. It gave the track some originality over the rest of the trance tunes out there.

At pattern 35 instrument 1 sounds totally out of tune, the same with the over the top trance strings, they sound out of tune a bit most of the time though. The tune is a bit too long for it's own good, it get's tiresome in the end. The change in melody at pattern 29 is a bit weird. From one pattern to another your thrown into some sort of interleave, without warning. I think some sort of transition could have been good here, the quick kick to another structure sounds a bit unatural.

So, overall a nice piece, technically good, but not very original. It doesn't have anything apart from that one, not that much used instrument, that sets it appart from the rest of the thousands of trance tunes that use the same string sound.

Starts out mainstream, surprises with some much original melodic segments shortly after the intro - and then tries to merge the two, with varying success. Fairly well mixed, but drums drown somewhat in pads and chords after the intro and the first break.
