I'm thinking Westbam when I hear this tune, the stuff you'd hear on his "we'll never stop living this way" album. Weird electro in other words. This is a cool tune really, even if you like me, aren't the biggest fan of electro. It has a sort of dark atmosphere, with weird sounds going on all around. The drumprogramming was simple, but worked well with the rest of the tune. The bassline was a bit nerving however, I would have liked a bit more variation in it.
I liked the vocal sample, it fits the tune well with it's radiolike characteristic. The overall sample quality was a bit low though, even though the samples were all at 44.1kHz. Although I believe this was part of the idea behind the song, I can't help but feel that slightly better quality in samples could have eased up some of the muddines in the low end.
The clip indicator in my mixer went on all the time, I couldn't however hear any distortion, which leads me to think that it's some transient that's causing the clipping. No biggie in other words.
But in the end I liked this tune, it had a nice vibe :)
