[edit -> audioconfiguration -> tab 'audio' -> gain. Dear author, try to imagine that the standard setting is 4, not 3. I thought the distortion was meant to be. Or is it? I really don't know. Eitherway, this review is based on gain = 3.]

Sounds like: german mid-90's acidhouse

Good:
There's something about this song that I like. The simplicity, maybe. Or the simply evolving structure. The oldschool beats and samples. The lack of attempts to overwhelm the listener. I don't know. But I dig this song. It's all little special, but it catches my attention, and it might work if placed in a proper electro dj set.

Points of attention:
-the simplicity also induces a certain amount of shallow characteristics. There is no way to prevent that, since it's the theme of the song that causes it. It catches my attention, yes, but it doesn't grip me by the throat, and that would be needed to get real high marks.

ok, onto electro road we go. Hardy Hard and Members of Mayday are influences you say, and after a quick listen I can say that it shows. You've got those synths and pads typical of a Members of Mayday production. Very german electro atmoshpere on this tune.

The biggest technical issues I have with this one is the deep basskick. It's way too loud, it distorts all the time, and drowns out all other instruments when it's playing. Sample quality should have been better, especially on the pads. The drums have a pretty simple programming, but that's the case if you want to go the Members of Mayday way.

The panning works well most of the time, the pads could have used some more though to space them out more. Either that, or add a bit of reverb on them, because they sound very centered, and don't have much depth.

In the end, it was perhaps a bit too long, it didn't sustain my interest all the way through. But for a fan it would probably work, if the basskick issue gets resolved.
